CATALINA ISLANDER READERS: Today represents an end of an 8 year tradition. You will no longer be reading my weekly column Catalina Time Capsules nor the occasional Catalina Rediscovered as the newspaper and I were unable to agree on the value of the column as it relates to the money paid for me not missing a deadline in 419 weeks. For those loyal readers who have read and acknowledged your enjoyment in this column on page 3, I THANK YOU! When time permits, I will continue to gather this information for the new Catalina Island Museum where you all will be able to catch up on my research, even though it wont be in the paper.
