CATHOLICISM VS TRUTH A brother stated, in ignorance, how Adventists look to the Catholic for answers. I will provide a reasonable view which will/should be helpful to him, as well as many of you who might be Catholic as to why youre under our microscope. Now, let me first make this disclaimer: If you are Catholic and offended, or nominal (people who go to church on Sunday) and are offended, oh well. The Bible says: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matt 24:36-39 (KJV). We are familiar with these verses and see evidence of this today. The question begs to be asked, How many were given the message Noah presented about the world being destroyed by a Flood? Only one! Noah. God doesnt do anything which has not already been done for the benefit of us who are now appearing on the scene. So, when we read the Bible the question we should ask ourselves: how does this relate to me? During Noahs time, he was chosen, by God, to be a watchman to warn the world of imminent destruction. We know the story. Through the prophet Ezekiel, God did the same thing and is doing it in our time, as well: So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. Ezek 33:7 (KJV) God has chose one, a group, to warn the world of the imminent return of Christ and to warn those, not only who do not believe, but those who do believe, to not be fooled by the sophistries of Satan. Satan doesnt go after those people we call the world, who havent a knowledge of Christ, but he, Satan, attacks Christs followers. He wishes to confuse them, and cause them to give up. Those who wont give up, he presents to them lies so they think theyre doing what God wants, but in essence, theyre not, and are just as lost as those whod never cared to hear anything about Christ! In short, this group of people, known as Adventists were given a message no other church was given, although most Christian churches utilize the Bible of some version or other and the warning given is called, the Three Angels Message. You can find them in Revelation 14. Now, Ill be more specific by addressing the last angels message, because the other two angels message has already been given. 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev 14:9-12 (KJV) According to Daniel 7:19-21, Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. 21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Dan 7:19-21 (KJV) This beast, we know, is the Papacy (the Pope), and the those who follow him are called Papists, or the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholic Church, under the influence of the popes changed Gods Law, the 10 Commandments, but more specifically, the 4th Commandment which is the clue to proper worship of God. This is why most Christian churches attend church on Sunday and not the true Sabbath, Saturday. So, if God didnt command it, and the devil is the instrument of it, then who are you following every Sunday? It certainly isnt God. Rev. 14 speaks about a time when the Little Beast (United States of America) will join hands with the Beast (Roman Catholic Church) and bring about persecution against those who follow Gods Commandments. This is not new but had already been done during the Middle Ages, (538-1793 AD) or better referred to as the Dark Ages because Gods light, His Holy Word, was hidden from the people, and given in Latin, which most people didnt know and couldnt read to begin with. (See Rev. 11) There were laws in the U.S., in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1610 which okayed death for violating the worship on Sunday! These laws will be re-enacted and carried out. You will see this come about. Already, there is a great movement taking place to rejoin Protestant America to Roman Catholicism, and this movement is called, ecumenalism because the Catholic Church now states the Protest is over, and sure enough, the Lutherans whos founder rejected the Catholic teaching, have signed over along with the Methodists leadership. Theyre now going after the Evangelicals, the largest body of Christian believers in the United States. Youve seen evidence of this already if you follow the various newsfeeds. If you would like to have access to Pope Francis appeal to the Evangelicals, Ill be glad to share it with you. My Friends, just as Cain slew Abel over their disagreement in worship, the devil will seek to destroy those who honor Gods Commandments, more specifically, the 4th Commandment, because this is the ONLY commandment which God has given as the manner in which He has stated He is to be worshiped. No wonder the majority of Christians go on Sunday, simply because they dont know the Truth and those who do, chose to disobey God. If you continue to read the chapter 11 of Revelation, you will come across a key verse: And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. Rev 11:19 (KJV) This ark of his testament is the one Moses saw in Heaven, which he made a copy on Earth, which inside the Ark was contained the two tablets of the 10 Commandments. John saw this as a future event. John saw the judgment and if John could see the experience of how we are to be judged, doesnt it make sense to keep them? We, Adventists, definitely watch the Catholics, not for an answer but for indicators of how close we are before this whole matter is finished, and the reason why is because it involves our standing against them, even to the point of death. Like Noah, were being prepared for that time when it will be necessary to leave our homes and comfortable environments to get away from the oppression. Again, this is history and is our future. The clue to understanding everything, even the Gospel so-called, is in the 12th verse of Rev. 14: Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev 14:12 (KJV) The faith of Jesus was in the belief of His Father and His desire to honor His Law. He died for that Law. If the Law could have been changed, then there would have been no need for Him to die, just change the Law! That Law is eternal. Those who teach it ended at the cross are doing one of two things: 1) they dont know, or 2) theyre lying and either way is not a desirable position to be in. Read, study and learn before it is too late. You dont want to be swept away just as those people were swept away by the waters of the Flood. Too many, today, are being swept away by the lies which are preached every Sunday from pulpits all over the world.
