CDC organized the Political Consultative Forum (PCF), which the ruling Unity Party (UP) was initially a member; and pushed for several reforms in Liberia- mainly electoral law (yet to be publish by the legislature); constitutional reform (still undergoing consultations for referendum); democracy sustainability (bill has been passed by both houses but not submitted to the president), decentralization of governance (devolution/deconcentration of power), national reconciliation, youth and women empowerment, ect ; the CDC has also pushed for the recent passage of the Code of Conduct bill; the CDC is still pushing for the passage of the decent work bill; the patience bill of rights, among others. The CDC invited the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) to Liberia and held a summit at the CDC headquarters, including other political parties about democracy and peace sustainability. The CDC has also engaged the Ghanas Institute for Economic Affairs, including the NDC and other parties in Ghana through some of their executives.
