CHOICES/ HOPE IN GOD!!! The Good Choices that you make will leave you feeling positive, happy, on top of the world and glad to be ALIVE! On the other hand, it’s a terrible feeling you get when you realize youve made a Bad Choice; a Choice that will affect your life for months and years to come! In the midst of your bad choice the entire world seems to stand still and stare at your mistake; like you are the main attraction at some carnival freak show; your joy evaporates as quickly as a summer shower on a hot desert land! Sadness pursues you like the heat of a long summer day and the nagging questions persist: Why This? Saints, Life is filled with numerous choices one after another! Consider this, with the sheer number of choices life requires you to make on a daily basis; youre bound to make some mistakes along the way! Its ok to make mistakes; however, its not ok to live there! When you realize youve made a Bad Choice; there are four things you should do? 1. With Gods help, you should take time to Consider why you made the bad choice; consider what motivated you; so you can avoid those motivations in the future! [Pro.21:29] Wicked people harden their face: but the upright, they Consider their way! 2. With Gods help, you should move beyond your bad choice by taking full responsibility for the decision you made! Apologize to anyone that you may have hurt by making that choice! [Pro.28:13] He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy! 3. With Gods help, you should begin to focus on the positive things in your life and the Good Choices you have made over the years! Saints, it’s easy to dwell on what you did wrong ---However its a waste of time; its better to focus on the Good Choices you must make “Now”! Remember, [Rom.8:28] God has good purposes for those people who love Him. He uses everything that happens to them (even bad choices) to bring good results on their behalf! (See also, 1Th.5:16-18) 4. With Gods help, you should Forgive Yourself! The most inspiring and productive thing you can do to Move Forward from your bad choice is to acknowledge that your heavenly Father, knew you would make the bad choice and He has made compensations and provisions for it! [Rom.4:7] Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. (See also, Ps.103:10; Mic.7:19) When you find yourself in a situation where you have made a bad choice; Dont get down on yourself; believe me Satan has hired plenty adversaries to do that! Saints, Consider this: [Psa.42:11] Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God: for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God!
