CHRISTMAS CAROL FLASHMOB :) The customers at Krónan in Kópavogur were in for a surprise last week when a women pushing a shopping trolley started singing a well-known Icelandic Christmas hymn. Gradually, more singers joined her in a beautiful rendition of Nóttin var sú ágæt ein by Sigvaldi Kaldalóns. The Króna flashmob was a great success and a reminder to shoppers of the spirit of Christmas. As captioned in the video: Dont let the Christmas stress get to you, remember to enjoy. youtu.be/6S910WV0mHE English translation of the song: The night was such a splendid one, throughout the world a light did shine The world’s trial now is it does not to know Him as it should With a lullaby, I rock your cradle With a lullaby, I rock your cradle In Bethlehem was born that boy-child who best of all healed scarred souls; thus have angels spoken of that which was to be the Saviour With a lullaby, I rock your cradle With a lullaby, I rock your cradle To shepherds was given that joy, they found both God and man, in a lowly manger laid down He was, though He was all the world’s Saviour With a lullaby, I rock … With a lullaby, I rock … With a lullaby, I rock your cradle With a lullaby, I rock your cradle With a lullaby, I rock your cradle With a lullaby, I rock your cradle
