CLARIFICATION FROM NASARAWA STATE SCHOLARSHIP BOARD (NSSB) The attention of the NSSB has been drawn to the failure of some ATM Machines to dispense the exact bursary to the beneficiaries of the Nasarawa State Government gesture of scholarship. In the case of the Beneficiaries of N10,000.00 ATMs dispense N9,000.00. NSSB wishes to assure the beneficiaries that our partner—the Skye Bank PLc—has assured us that by Monday students can withdraw the exact bursary they are entitled to — from N100,000.00 to N10,000.00. We sincerely apologize for our dereliction in this regard. The Board wishes to also states that since the commencement of the Bursary screening exercise, the Board had no any challenge that derailed us from the path and objective of the exercise therefore this very one shall be surmounted. It is important to, categorically, states that there is no iota truth to the insinuation, from some quarters, that the challenge we are facing is deliberate and a calculated attempt to short-change the students. The Government of the Nasarawa state—that released the sum of N280,197,800.00 only for the purpose of bursary; the NSSB—that conducted the screening exercise and the Skye Bank PLc—that is responsible for the disbursement are only interested in the success of the entire exercise therefore anything short of this objective is considered superfluous.
