CLARIFYING THE CURRENT EVENTS IN EGYPT : Shaykh Waseeullaah Abbaas (hafidhahullah) - Saudi Arabia is CORRECT in its response to Egypt. - Be careful of those who misinform and spread discord about Saudi Arabia and the Muslim rulers. - Protests/ Demonstrations are Evil, Prohibited. - Stay away from Fitan and be patient! - Do not take sides when fighting happen between the Muslims or when matters remain unclear. - Even if open kufr is clear fighting is NOT allowed in a position of weakness. - The ikhwaan were wrong for inciting protests and the fraction of the army were wrong in unjustly oppressing the people. - From an Islamic viewpoint if people disagree with the Muslim ruler they should advise him privately. - The disbelievers encourage rebels / they also rejoice when Muslims fight between themselves. - In times of trial refer back to the Ulama. - These issues should not be spoken by the laymen. - The ikhwaan were not following Islam but because they were ascribing and pushing Islam forward the disbelievers hated that despite the fact that ikhwaan were democratically elected. *Shaykh Waseeullaah Abbaas is Mufti, Preacher at Masjid Al-Haraam and Professor at Umm ul Qura University Makkah.
