CLASSY PIECE: Some years ago we had a very wild dog called nobalance. She was so wild I feared it was crazy especially when she took-in. One day I came back from school and saw my grandmother with a shot broom on her hand beating nobalance. I asked what happened? She said nobalance put to bed but ate up its three puppies. Just as we were considering what to do a small frail kid-goat of about two or so days old strayed into the compound and nobalance immediately launched at it. We expected her to tear the kid-goat to pieces but to everyones surprise, nobalance cuddled the kid-goat and unbelievably lied down and breast-fed the goat. We went out asking Neigbours if anyone has lost a kid-goat but no one seemed to. The strange kid-goat grew up under nobalance motherhood and became a mother herself. We named her balance. This was an extraordinary natural occurrence. Non of us expect to see during our life time another dog breast-feeding a goat. Such things are extremely rear. It is even unbelievable even as I write. How then would any sane person expect a recurrence? So was Amaechis ascension to governorship without contesting election. This was a melanin aberration that affected the eye of the law and has since been corrected. No sane person should expect a recurrence. The Frank Okons of Akwa Ibom State should stop distracting Akpabio with court cases and other issues hoping to repeat the Amaechi wonder. It is legally impossible as it stands today. Let Akpabio make the best use of his remaining years to fine-tune his transformation program which would not be complete if economic spark-plug like Ibaka Seaport is not built during his time. Lets stop distracting him and let him focus so he can give us this most important legacy which would make our state a freight hub and transform the state economically.
