Issue Number: 4 Heavy rainfall is forecast to continue between Cooktown and Townsville during Saturday and Sunday, with local falls of 100-200mm possible in 24 hours. In the 6 hours since 9am Saturday, rainfall totals of up to 130mm have been recorded in the Johnstone and Tully River catchments. Individual catchment flood warnings are current for the Daintree and Mossman, Mulgrave-Russell, Tully and Murray, and Herbert Rivers. River level rises above the minor flood level are possible in the Barron, Johnstone, Upper Burdekin, Black, Bohle and Ross Rivers and Bluewater Creek. Issue Number: 1 Minor flood levels have been exceeded at some locations in the Russell and Mulgrave rivers overnight Friday. The Mulgrave River at The Fisheries exceeded the minor flood level overnight Friday, with minor flooding to extend to Gordonvale by early Sunday morning following rainfalls between 75 and 100mm overnight Friday. In the Russell River, minor flooding extends throughout much of the catchment following rainfalls up to 195mm overnight Friday. Further widespread and locally heavy rainfall between 100 to 200mm is expected across the catchment during the next 24 hours.
