CONQUER WITHOUT COMPROMISE But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the kings meat (Daniel 1:8) Daniel was an amiable and charming Jewish youngster. Although he was in the idolatrous land of captivity, he was fiercely proud of his heritage and Godly upbringing. He was of a royal blood, and could have joined the big boys and princes like him. That would have given him a trouble-free ride to stardom and fame. But he made up his mind neither to defile himself nor compromise his convictions even if it meant death. Daniel and his colleagues excelled without compromise. This is a great challenge to all Christian youths. While some embark on legitimate activities like diligent study, disciplined attitude towards classes and assignments, others engage in illegitimate activities like cheating, bribing and all forms of examination malpractices in a bid to achieve success at all cost. If you are a Christian youth, you should understand that compromise is a sin. Christian youths who have heaven as their goal must learn to be true to their conscience and God. God watches all that we do and will reward all at the end of time. Challenge: Compromise leads to eternity in hell fire. Be warned!
