CONSIDER THIS.... The apostle John was in his NINETIES when he received the most important revelation of his entire life -- and he received that revelation as an exiled prisoner, supposedly forced into oblivion, on the isle of Patmos! We should apply that thought to our own lives! It doesn’t matter how much we know — we can know more. It doesn’t matter how much we’ve heard — we can hear more. It doesnt matter what has happened in our lives to push us off track, we can receive new light and direction from God, knowing He has MORE for us to do! But lets take the thought further.... We can understand more as we’re willing not just to listen, but also to HEAR what the Holy Spirit is still saying to the Church today (see Revelation 2:7). In fact, whether or not we go forward spiritually depends on HOW we hear. Will we do more than just listen when the Lord comes to work on our souls — even when He carries out the sometimes painful work of extracting from our lives whatever is hindering us from going higher with Him?
