CROATIA IS THE MALE PART OF A PAIR(LITTERMATES?)*** HE AND USA WERE FOUND ABANDONED IN AN APARTMENT *** EASY TO UNDERSTAND WHY HE MIGHT BE RESERVED AND TIMID**** RUNS TO HUMANS FOR COMFORT SO CAN CERTAINLY LEARN TO TRUST**** LIKES PETTING, AND GIVING KISSES ***LIKES OTHER DOGS ****AN EXPERIENCED OWNER CAN BRING THIS DOG TO LIFE AND, BEST OF ALL, GIVE HIM LIFE! Volunteer says Croatia is the more reserved half of the pair and was very distraught when he first arrived. On our first walks Croatia was timid, but still very sweet. He would really perk up at the sight of other dogs and showed glimpses of being a carefree puppy - almost hopping as we strolled down the street. He seems to have some housetraining and is working on perfecting sit. When I brought him into the pen he was very wary of things in the background - people shouting, metal banging in the wind, garbage trucks passing by - but would run over to me for safety....putting his paws in my lap and seemed to take comfort in getting pet, his tail almost untucked! The next time I spent time with him, it seemed Croatia had really warmed up. He greeted me with a waggy tail, stopped to give a staff member a hug on our way out, and maintained his puppy hop throughout our walk - even giving me kisses! He loves to be pet and is very playful. He has endured more than he should have at such a young age, but is willing to trust and is so loving!
