CURVED ROOF GAUME SITUATION The land of Mr. & Mrs. V. is Harnoncourt where he totally dominates the valley. This land is located in a small very steep street, the back ground is exposed to the north -east where it overlooks a beautiful view overlooking the surrounding countryside. WISH OF THE CLIENT A young couple without children . Their wishes are simple, modern house, lots of windows. There should be : - a two car garage front , cellars , a closet, a large open kitchen , living room , two to three bedrooms, an office, a mezzanine, a bathroom big enough bathroom, separate toilet, dressing room between the bedroom Parents and bathroom. - volumes and large windows to bring in natural light, it is a necessity for them to live comfortably in their home. - As cladding , desires fell on a brick veneer coating , chassis PVC colors, roofing material to define a system recovery rainwater and possibly solar panels for DHW . THE PARTY OF THE ARCHITECT The experience being there, after seeing the field, it seemed obvious to architect Thierry NOBEN that this house will be split level , with garage at street level , and living parts of the ground floor the same level as the garden . Program compliance , environmental integration , harmony , rhythm, are the hallmarks of architect Thierry NOBEN . The architect decided to realize this project in two volumes. A first volume parallel to the street in which we find the ground - floor garage at the street , the main entrance with a toilet and cloakroom and upper half level, a large landing serving the large kitchen with the back kitchen , and living in which one enters through a large door all glass . The second volume processed in the mind of an Annex is located parallel to the property line and this for two reasons: the first is to have a south facing terrace and the second , an ideal orientation for solar panels . The fact that the living room is topped by the mezzanine course increases the volume. The harmony that one feels upon entering this space is pleasantly disturbing by its serenity, the curve of the roof where the glass elements are inserted and provide a more than satisfactory light form . These two volumes are articulated vertical circulation , produced by a metal frame and wooden steps . The staircase gives a feeling of lightness and purity. Clearances are in turn naturally lit by a glazed element incorporating the front door , all facing south- west, the lights and shadows that transcribes could be better imagined. The 1st floor meanwhile, by his play half level , gives us a space parents , namely: a large bedroom, bathroom , dressing room . A childrens area rooms : consisting of two rooms . In the appendix , a mezzanine office space, mark owners both computer . On the 2nd floor we find a space that has been determined as the attic, but this bent in the shape of its roof space elegance and originality that illuminates the bay , making it a space that could be widely an additional bedroom, a game room, a recreation area ..... The choice of materials gives character to a project and enhances shape, volume and harmony. This choice must be wise otherwise devalue all . In consultation with the services planning , architect Thierry NOBEN proposed a solution that Mr. & Mrs. V. have subsequently approved . Blocks plastering on the first volume, a wood siding on the Schedule , a light gray PVC carpentry and roof arched standing seam zinc gray quartz. A project must be a whole, integrating the land , the environment , respect the program, and especially the budget. When looking at the home of Mr. and Mrs. V. some might say that this has nothing to do with the local architecture. Admittedly, this is a reality, but one thing is certain : where you are coming from our eyes are drawn to this set of volumes , balanced, punctuated by a vertical , providing a feeling of gentleness and harmony. This set is a successful integration. architecte - noben.lu
