Camping this weekend... For those that weren’t aware, Lucas Oil Kingaroy Speedway is located at the Kingaroy showgrounds which doubles as a caravan park. The show society allow all speedway competitors, officials, volunteers and spectators to camp and use all the facilities at the venue over race weekends and only charge a flat rate of $12 per person, per night. This gives you access to all the caravan park facilities even if you park in the pits. Powered sites outside the pits are limited and can’t be reserved and are treated on a first in, best dressed theory. If you are planning on camping, simply roll up on the day and head over to the showgrounds/caravan park site office and pay your camping fees. Please note this venue is operated by fulltime staff and are on site throughout the entire weekend and will be conducting various spot checks and head counts to ensure everyone is playing by the rules and not trying to slip through the system by avoiding paying camping fees. These small fees ensures the showgrounds are kept and maintained at the highest levels of cleanliness and professionalism and go towards the abundance of upgrades and improvements that are continuing at the South Burnett venue. We would like to remind everyone camping at the venue over the weekend, that noise is to be kept to a minimum between midnight and 8am and that everyone keeps there camp sites clean and tidy and places all rubbish in the bins supplied. The venue always sees a large amount of people camp at these big events so please be considerate of your neighbours so everyone gets a good night’s sleep and has a wonderful time at Lucas Oil Kingaroy Speedway.
