Can you spell train wreck? well that about sums up my experience of teaching today. I am not even sure I can keep doing this short term. This system is the epitome of the dumbing down of education. The teaching revolves around the children having to listen to English on a CD. I am basically just the conductor of the thing, my input is irrelevant , seriously wondering why they have bothered to pay for a Western English native speaker. The children speak English so un-clearly that I have no idea what they are saying. Cambodian/Filipino speech is a dialect of English more than a slight accent. I wish I was not here.
