Cantilan Bank receives distinguished partner award form SCB On July 26, 2013, Cantilan Bank, Inc. (CBI), one of the country’s top rural banks, was awarded by the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp) at the 2013 Gawad mSME held at the Makati Shangri-la. As a testament to Cantilan Bank’s outstanding performance aligned with its mission to provide excellent services to countryside clients including micro, small, and medium enterprises (mSMEs), SBCorp awarded the Surigao del Sur-based rural bank as its Distinguished Partner in the Portfolio Guarantees category. Each year, SBCorp honors its valuable partners who have been instrumental in achieving its goals and targets in the past year, when its lending reached close to P4 billion. SBC is the government’s third largest MSME lending arm This is the second consecutive year that Cantilan Bank received an award and special citation from SBCorp.
