Celebrate Lithgow 2014 Street Carnival PRESS RELEASE Celebrate Lithgow is all about celebrating all those wonderful things that make Lithgow a great place in which to work & play. This year’s Celebrate Lithgow Street Carnival, presented by the Lithgow Business Association (LBA) & supported by the Lithgow City Council, is set to take place once again on the Sunday of the last weekend in November 2014, Hours: 10am – 4pm in & around Main St, Bridge St & Railway Pd (the last 2 streets being subject to Council road closure approval). This year’s Celebrate Lithgow, titled: ‘Cross Roads’ has a completely new organizing group, headed by Ironfest founder Macgregor Ross. However, the basic format, developed by Janelle Johnston & Sally Taylor, Celebrate Lithgow Street Carnival founders, will remain the same with rides & stalls in the street & a number of satellite events taking place around the District. There will, however, be some changes including a focus on trade for business; a focus on attracting visitors from outside the local area; as well as a number of new events including a local & international food festival & foot parade.
