Central Luzon Daily 3 Edejer family members laid to rest Posted on September 25, 2013 at 9:09 am ANGELES CITY – Three members of the Edejer family will be laid to rest today at the La Pieta Memorial Park here as the police faces blank wall in the course of their investigation behind the Sept. 20 massacre at L&S Subdivision that left seven dead. A close friend of Edejer family, who declined to be named, said Nicolas, 42, Corazon, 47, and Kenneth, 19 will be brought to their final resting place shortly after a requiem mass. He said relatives and friends of the victims are crying for justice. “To the police, please help the Edejer family gets justice,” he said. The Edejer family and some members of the household, including three helpers and a guest masseur, were found dead with gunshot wounds in the head in separate places inside a residential compound along Molave Street, L&S Subdivision, Barangay Telabastagan, City of San Fernando. Members of the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Edejer are still clueless as to the motive of the killings. But police sources said they are giving more weight and focus their investigation on business-related transactions of Nick. Nick, according to police report, is a fish dealer and also into lending business at Casino Filipino in Barangay Balibago. “Nothing significant as of press time, investigation is ongoing,” said Senior Supt. Oscar Albayalde, Pampanga police acting director and head of SITG Edejer. Earlier, six persons, including the former family driver of the victims identified as Mike Sula and a certain Jake, Nick’s bodyguard, had been invited by SITG Edejer to shed light on the incident. They were released by the police after taking their affidavits. Nick’s Toyota Hi-Lux pick-up truck (TFO-540) was found abandoned at Barangay San Nicolas-Balas at the boundary of Magalang, Pampanga and Concepcion, Tarlac. It exited Dau tollgate past 4 p.m. as indicated in the tollgate receipt. One of Edejer’s neighbors said Nick’s vehicle was noticed cruising at a high speed past 2 p.m. on Sept. 20, which, they said, is unlikely as the victim is known in the community as a low-speed driver. Scene of the crime operatives found at the masters’ bedroom P1.7 million apparently left behind by the suspects and the safety vault which was recovered at the ground floor. Police investigators urged residents in the area who are privy to Edejer’s business dealings to come forward and help them decipher the mystery behind the killings. “Dapat tulungan kami sa pag-iimbistiga, kung gusto nila na mabigyan agad ng hustisya ang sinapit ng kanilang kaibigan,” said Albayalde. – Jess Malabanan
