Channel 4 and Red Production Company are currently looking for people to be involved in the filming of a brand new drama set in and around Manchesters Gay Village. Brought to you by the people who created and wrote ‘Queer as Folk’, they are looking for people to be background artists (on camera) shooting local club and Canal St scenes. Writer/Producer Russell T. Davies is very keen to use people who regularly socialise in The Village so it will be an authentic take! ‘Cucumber’ is an 8 episode series for Channel 4. It follows 46 year old Henry and his long suffering boyfriend Lance. Life for Henry and Lance is comfortable and settled. But after the most disastrous date night in history – involving a death, a threesome and two police cars – Henry’s old life shatters and his new life begins..
