Chapmans Peak Hike :) All welcome to join! Date: Saturday, 13th September Time: 10:30 Meeting Spot: Get the picnic pass to go through the Chappies boom, and leave your car at the last big bend before reaching the top of Chapmans Peak Drive. This is a 2A grade hike; tiring and no exposure to heights, there will only be water available on lower slopes. To reach the top requires less than an hour and a half. the path takes you through some fynbos, whilst presenting you with some breathtaking views. The rocks on top of Chapmans Peak afford protection from the wind and make this an ideal spot to enjoy a late breakfast. So remember to pack something delicious. :P its a scramble to the survey beacon at the top, but the panorama which unfolds from here is well worth the effort. Not only can you see Hout Bay nestling perfect below you, but Gordens Bay in the far distance as well! The weather looks like its going to be great :) so lets all get out doors and play in the sun :D hope you can all make it.
