Chapter 9 When morning came Codie was the first to wake up, she found a half-naked Jonothon laying beside her with his arms wrapped around her waist. By just looking at Jono he actually looked adorable, Codie was still in her bed clothes thank God for that, she got up but kind of fell on the floor. This made Jono wake up fast “What’s wrong? Where is he I’ll kill him I swear to God I’ll kill him!” Jono shouted in surprise “Jono it’s alright I just fell” Codie replied “Codie? What the hell are you doing on the floor?” Jono asked “I was getting up to get breakfast ready, and then I sort of fell” Codie replied “Well why didn’t you wake me up? You know I would of helped” Jono replied back getting out of bed to help Codie up “So what do you want for breakfast?” Codie asked “Codie, you have the flu so I don’t think you should be cooking” Jono replied “Then what do you suppose we should do?” Codie asked “First you get back into bed and you don’t move unless you have to go to the bathroom, then you call me to help you get up. Don’t worry I will not bother you while you take a leak” Jono replied while holding up his left hand making a promise and a vow “So what are you going to do?” Codie asked “Me I’m going to make you some breakfast, not too heavy though because we don’t want to upset your stomach. So I will make you some toast with raspberry jam, no butter for you because of your allergies, and I will make you some freshly squeezed orange juice” Jono said as he left the room to make the breakfast in bed for Codie Codie was left there in the bed stunned ‘Did he just order me around in my own apartment?’ Codie asked herself She sat there waiting for her food to come to her, a few minutes later Jono came walking into Codie’s bedroom with a TV tray he was still half-naked wearing Codie’s pink apron that said ‘Kiss me I’m Cute’ a birthday present she got from Laura. The apron had two flowered buttons on each side of the straps and a little animated character on the front below the wordings. “What… are… you… wearing?” Codie asked in a very slow manner “Oh do you like it? I thought it went better with my eyes” Jono said trying to cheer up Codie It worked Codie started to laugh that also made Jonothon laugh… “Thank you” Codie said with a small whisper “Well it’s the least I can do for you giving me shelter,” Jonothon said back with a smile Codie leaded forward giving Jono a gentle hug “What are you going to do now?” Codie asked “I figured since you are sick I will do most of the house work” Jonothon replied “Oh okay like what?” Codie asked again “Probably do the dishes, yours and my laundry, do some dusting you know tidy up a bit to make it cleaner so that way you can get better quicker” Jono replied once more He got up and started to work right away. Jonothon started to think what he should do first then he got it, he decided to do the laundry first, hey what could go wrong right? He picked up the clothes that were Codie’s or did they belong to somebody else? It was Lingerie Jono didn’t know what to do or how to even wash it let alone hold it. He can see if she was in the lingerie but never holding it while doing laundry. ‘Maybe I should call for help. No you idiot that you make you sound useless, wait I can call Tiffany yeah she will know what to do’ Jono said to himself subconsciously he brought out his cell phone and started to dial Tiffany’s number. Somebody answered the phone… “Hello?” said a woman’s voice “Hi Tiff?” Jono asked “Yeah what?” Tiffany asked “Can you help me?” Jono asked back “Sure with what?” Tiffany asked “With laundry” Jono replied “Jono? Where are you?” Tiffany asked “I’m at Chantal’s apartment” Jonothon replied “You are where?” Tiffany asked practically choking “You heard me loud and clear, I’m at Chantal’s place” Jono replied “Okay that’s the first” Tiffany replied back “I need to ask you a question” Jono remarked “Alright what’s the question?” Tiffany asked “How do you wash lingerie?” Jono asked back “Umm…Put it in the wash under gentle cycle, the instructions should be on a tag” Tiffany replied “Okay thanks, hot or cold?” Jono lastly asked “Make it warm water” Tiffany replied “Okay that is what I am doing right now” Jono replied “Is that all you needed? Was instructions on how to wash women’s underwear?” Tiffany asked “If you ever tell a single soul about me washing women’s underwear I will so I swear to God I will personally put you through hell” Jono growled “Been there, done that” Tiffany teased as she hung up the phone ‘Great she’s going to tell everyone else and I would be mocked for the rest of my life’ Jono said to himself as he loaded up the washing machine with lingerie first ‘How much lingerie does Chantal have?” Jono asked himself the washing machine was full of nothing but lingerie, while the laundry was going he decided to do some other cleaning, and check up on Codie to see if she was finished her breakfast. He swept the house, then he mopped the hard floor, after mopping he checked up on Codie. “Codie are you finished?” Jono asked He seen Codie on the phone talking to some one on phone ten to one that it was Tiffany. “Let me guess Tiffany is talking to you” Jono said he didn’t sound amused at all “How did you guess that this was Tiffany?” Codie asked “Because she is the type that would tell everyone everything about me they always seem to mock me if I am helping out a friend” Jono replied “Any who Tiffany this is one thing that I never told you about Jonothon, he is wearing my apron half-naked” Codie said to Tiffany “Chantal that is cold of you to tell Tiffany everything about me” Jonothon snarled “What is he wearing besides the apron?” Tiffany asked “He is wearing his boxer shorts” Codie replied A few minutes later Jono heard Codie laugh he can barely hear Tiffany laugh Jonothon remembered what Elizabeth had always told him, if people are mocking, or making fun of you to always take a deep breath in and ignore what they say and never let those little things get to you. Jono took away Codie’s empty tray to wash the dishes. “I hope you are more grateful within the next future the next time you get sick” Jono coldly replied he said it loud enough so that way Tiffany could hear him Both girls started to feel bad for their attitude towards Jonothon, for all the things that he had done for Codie, they had harmed his feelings. “I think I own somebody an apology,” Codie said still on the phone with Tiffany “Yeah you do that” Tiffany replied “I’m not the only one who needs to apologies to Tiffany” Codie replied back “Why do I need to apologize?” Tiffany asked “Because half of this is your fault to and you were the one who phoned me to tell me about Jono doing my laundry” Codie replied “Alright fine I’ll apologies to Jonothon” Tiffany replied back she sounded like she was pouting on the phone “Hold on I’ll call him to my room” Codie said “Alright” Tiffany said back Codie put the phone down on her bed, “JONO! CAN YOU GET YOURSELF IN HERE?” Codie shouted out A few minutes later Jono came walking in the room “You bellowed?” Jono asked “Yeah Tiffany and I have something to say to you” Codie replied “Alright what is it?” Jono asked Codie put the receiver down putting Tiffany on speakerphone. “Alright Tiff are you ready?” Codie asked “Yeah, yeah” Tiffany replied “Okay” Codie said “We are very sorry Jono!” Both women said together “Oh okay thank you I think” Jono said as he left the room to do the rest of the chores He went into the kitchen and did the dishes, Elizabeth taught him that if anyone was sick to wash anything that is dishes or clothing or even bed sheets with bleach it kills all of the germs that no one wants. After he was done he decided to take a rest while the laundry was still going he waited for quiet a long while. After when the laundry was done he got up placed the wet clothes into the dryer on gentle warm cycle he placed a static free sheet within the dryer, and he put more clothes in the washing machine. Luckily the end of Codie’s lingerie was at the end that gave his clothes enough room to put in the washing machine. When lunchtime came Jono made Codie some Chicken Noodle Soup, orange juice, and medicine to help her feel better. He went into the living room to watch some TV, and then he got a perfect idea to save Codie from complete boredom. He decided to ask if Codie wanted a small TV in her room so that way she wouldn’t suffer from madness of not being able to do things. “Codie?” Jono called “Yes” Codie replied “Would you like to have a small TV in here so you won’t die from complete boredom?” Jonothon asked “Sure that would be great at least I would have something to do rather then just sit here doing nothing” Codie replied “Okay I will go get my TV in here for you to keep yourself entertained” Jono said as he ran off to his room to get his TV luckily he had extensions to the other TV, he did his best to set it up for Codie. When he was finished he tested out the TV to make sure it worked. “Thanks Jono” Codie replied “No problem I’m not even using this TV as much besides you can finally watch some movies on this TV better then that big one out in the living room” Jono replied back He walked out of Codie’s bedroom and decided to give Codie some privacy. The day went by it turned into night and suppertime came, the whole laundry was finally done, the dishes got put away, except for a few that they needed for dinner, Jono made more chicken noodle soup for Codie and orange juice. They ate some supper and Codie got ready for bed she took some night time medicine to help her sleep, Jono was still a bit worried about her, so once again he stayed with her through out the entire night…
