Fabregas has been told he can leave the Catalan club during the transfer window, and the Blues have joined Manchester United and Arsenal in the hunt for his services. Jose Mourinho wants the 27-year-old to replace Frank Lampard, after he was released this week, and Chelsea are going all out to get their man. According to sources in Spain, Chelsea are willing to bolster Fabregas’ salary to about £200,000-a-week, if moves to west London. United are rated as the favourites for the Spain international, while Arsenal have first option to sign him, but Chelsea believe their giant cash offer will tempt Fabregas to reject all other options – and join them instead. Mourinho wants to have his transfer business concluded before the end of the World Cup, in a bid to avoid paying inflated prices, and a £30million bid for Fabregas is expected to go in at the week, in order to kick on with the deal.
