Accumulation of up to 1 inch of snow is possible. (reports of light snow falling in Lake Arrowhead, Salacoa Valley, & Ball Ground) Action Church, 271 Marietta Rd in Canton is open as a warming station anytime the temperature falls below 25 degrees. Latest forecast from NWS for Cherokee County: Rest Of Today: Snow with sleet likely in the morning...then snow and freezing rain likely in the afternoon. Snow and sleet accumulation around 1 inch. Highs around 30. North winds 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 80 percent. Tonight: Mostly cloudy. A 30 percent chance of snow in the evening. Lows around 16. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
