Chris had a long and horrible night and this morning seemed to be headed down a long slope. I had to get the new medications out when St. Thomas called for his updated medical history. I decided to check each medication for side effects, etc. One is not to be taken if you have heart rhythm problems (he has a-fib). Another causes clumsiness, loss of strength and delusions (he has nearly fallen several times, cannot stay awake, is very week and has had terrible nightmares over the last few days). Another creates breathing problems and wheezing (yes, his breathing is worse these last few days). Last one says clearly not to take if you have COPD (he does and it says causes unusual weakness). All increase risk of stroke or heart attack. All afternoon and evening I have been applying doTERRA Deep Blue rub, layered with Wintergreen Essential Oil down his spine and lower back. Also diffusing doTERRA Breathe blend. He woke up a few minutes ago and said his thinking is clearer than it has been and he didnt have nightmares. Prayers as we continue the natural, plant based course in preparation for the steroid injection on Thursday.
