Circus McGurkis The Peoples Fair Circus McGurkis, The Peoples Fair, has been taking place since 1971. It is a project of the Society of Friends (Quakers). It was started by a dedicated group of peace activists during the Vietnam War and was coordinated for many years by Christine OBrien. Quakers carry on their programs as an expression of their belief in the dignity and worth of each person and in the power of love and nonviolence to bring about change. They celebrate all of you who, with your creativity and activism, make the community a more beautiful, loving and just place to live. With your cooperation and understanding, this years slightly incredible Circus McGurkis will be better than ever! Circus McGurkis features arts, crafts, music, games and ideas with a special focus on activities for children and families of all ages and types. 9am-4pm. FREE to attend.
