Client Reviews & PIctures of Secrets Maroma! (jr. suite OV 07/05/2014-7NTS) The flights: Loved flying direct on Frontier from Cincinnati to Cancun. Great staff on the flight, they were timely and considerate to all their passengers. (A young father had a screaming child that was difficult to console and the staff were great to accommodate his (and the childs) needs and to keep the remaining passengers happy). Transfers: We had the Apple shuttle waiting for us at the airport. After a few minutes of waiting and organizing paperwork and checking in with Apple, we were in the shuttle and on our way to the resort. Beach: ABSOLUTELY Beautiful! It was funny b/c when we were communicating with passengers on our flight and told them where we were staying they all said oh its beautiful. :) And it was! We had plenty of room to walk without interruption (ie. dodging other people, dodging trash on the beach or other big resorts. The beach had a very natural appeal, staff members were seen cleaning the beach of seaweed and other ruffage washed up early in the AM and helped to keep the landscape pretty; overall just absolutely beautiful. Pool: 2 pools; one with a swim up bar; super relaxing with floats available at your leisure. refreshing pool temps and clean. Nice views of the ocean as well. :) Service: Service was of utmost importance. Each building has its own concierge. Of which they are super to work with. Obviously they are there to arrange any reservations you may need, address issues with your room, etc. but ours was fantastic. Her name was Fabiola and in addition to helping us with any basic needs (our room key didnt work, organizing bell hop service for luggage) she also gave me a curling iron to use for the week when my broke on the first night there! Service was wonderful on the beach; servers everywhere to make sure you had a drink, food, cold towel on a hot day and to even roll out your towels for you on your chair. Staff walked around to double check that you were wearing sunscreen! Great service! Food: Breakfast and lunch were great at the barefoot grill (for lunch) and world cafe (for breakfast). Breakfast at the World Cafe offered the best fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee with scenic views outside at breakfast. The presentation of food at each restaurant for dinner was fantastic. Although there was a variety of choices of restaurants for dinner, I was not as pleased with dinner. The French and Japanese restaurants were good. Steaks prepared well at the French restaurant and wonderful hibachi presentations and sushi selections at the Japanese restaurant. The Mexican restaurant was not good; which was disappointing considering our location. The Italian restaurant, although the presentation was nice, was not very tasty either. Rooms: Absolutely beautiful and comfortable temperature wise. Great ocean view-worth it and great jacuzzi tup-worth it! Nice balcony to sit and listen to the ocean waves rolling in and out. Stocked refrigerator everyday with sodas, beer and champagne upon our arrival to celebrate our anniversary. Entertainment: Great! Offered a variety of live shows from rock and roll tributes to a Beatles tribute. Movies available each day in an outdoor theatre. Dancing several nights during the week. Snorkeling from the resort, kayaking were included; other snorkeling excursions out to the reef were additional cost but absolutely worth it. Beginning in Cancun to Nicaragua is the second largest reef to snorkel per staff at the resort. We did snorkel and was well worth the experience. Would you return: Absolutely! Would you recommend this resort? Absolutely! How did you find our service? Fantastic! Are you satisfied with the service provided and received? Yes! Would you recommend our service to your family or friends? Yes! Thanks again! Rebecca
