Clive Clinic Day 1 at Carlisle Academy in Lyman was amazing! I can hardly wait for tomorrow! For those of you who dont know Clive he is the Team Great Britain Gold Medal Para Dressage Coach who coached Sophie Christiansen to all of her many international Paralympic successes and medals. We are so lucky to have a personable coach with his talent, experience, insight and perspective with us this month in Maine! Its all about the education, the minute details and the journey...and opening doors to new insights and experiences. We last saw Clive at the Carlisle/USPEA/USEF spring symposium and he said Sebastian never looked better which is a great feeling after all of our hard work up at Pineland this past season. I am very grateful to the team at Pineland (led by Mike Poulin and Gwyneth McPherson) and the team at Carlisle for creating these types of opportunities to learn and grow. All the riders (many of whom rode at the symposium) looked great from then to now and it was amazing to watch the themes of throughness, straightness, suppleness and relaxation -all the principals of the training scale- apply to all riders throughout the training spectrum. We had a special lecture of adaptive equipment which was really interesting. Very excited about tomorrow and truly motivated about the days/weeks/months/years to come! — feeling great.
