Close Encounters of the Savior Kind Zacchaeus Luke 19:1-10 Pastor Todd Harker May 25, 2014 Scripture Emphasis: Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost. Zacchaeus was a short man. In Luke, he had a short story. His account is only ten verses. Yet from this man we can learn many valuable truths about our Savior Jesus Christ as He works with him. As we look today, we will see the despair in Zacchaeus’ life and the greatness of Jesus’ person. The Despair of Zacchaeus 1) He was on top of the WORLD, but at the bottom of HIMSELF. 2) He was CONFIDENT on the outside, but LASTING on the inside. 3) He was PROSPEROUS in what he did, but POOR in who he was. 4) He was WANTING something better, but UNABLE to achieve it. 5) He was SURROUNDED by people, but very ISOLATED and alone.
