Closing 3ft tank sale item update: 8 x rummy nose tetra - $40: Rummy nose tetras make great tank mates or even sole feature fish in great schools with their bright red noses shimmering bodies and flashy black and white tails. Unlike many other tetras such as neons and cardinals which merely shoal (swim vaguely near by), rummy noses are a true schooling fish and will stay together even in very small tanks. Their red noses are not only beautiful but also a good indicator of tank parameters as when they go dull the fish are stressed and can be a good biological warning sign for something else going a miss. Usually retail around $7 a fish so worth $56 but am selling for $40 for quick sale. 5 x breeding quality 8-9cm make congo tetras - $100: You will not find a better quality congo than these, when i bought them i had taken them from the store owners show tank as they were such high quality. They have the bright orange thick band and even the rarer blue green luminescent bands with centre tail tipping seen only in mature fish with white bordering on rear fins. These were purchased for $125 only 3 months ago and have been fed on a frozen high quality discus food mix. Congos go excellently with any fish provided it can be placed in a ph of around 5.5-7 and a temperature of 25-30 odd degrees and housed amongst a variety of other tank mates given their peaceful nature and make an excellent asset for contrast in a planted aquarium. Only asking for $100 for quick sale. (Note: You will see stores selling congos for around $8-12 but these are juveniles and they will not have the beautiful colouration only found in mature males which take a long time to mature and hence the appropriate pricing). 1 x ottocinculus 2.5-3cm - $12: These algae eaters are fantastic fish, although little growing to only 3cm maximum they have big hungry appetites and make short work or any tank algae and fit into places other algae eaters such as the bristlenose wont. Are often confused with juvenile flying foxes due to their colouration but differ in that they have a few small brown spots on the tops of their heads and do not harass other fish nor do they eat delicate plants such as mosses of which the flying foxes sometimes do. Many famous aquascapers use these fish due to their efficiency as well as their small effect on the bioload of your aquarium. Location Bligh park nsw
