Coeburn, VA: McCarty cashes in, Stiltner claims Late Model Championship. By Chase Brashears Lonesome Pine Raceway-Public Relations Green flag in the air for 100 laps of Late Model action. Hayden Woods would power to the lead. To the inside of Woods went Derek Woodward on lap 43. Woods and Woodward would battle side-by-side, allowing McCarty, Stiltner and Kidd to gain. Woodward was able to complete the pass on lap 47. Woods began to fall back, letting the No. 5, No. 22, No. 47 and No. 17 to pass. Trouble in turn two when Woods’ No. 87 spun, bringing out the caution. Back under green, McCarty would take the lead. McCarty would never relinquish his lead, claiming the victory. Ryan Stiltner officially clinched the 2013 Clark Signs & Graphics Late Model Division Championship. Rocky Yates was on point for the 30 lap Mod-4 race. Gobble would take the lead. Caution on lap four when the No. 33 and No. 9 made contact, stopping the No. 9 on the backstretch. Yates would charge to the lead on the restart over Gobble. Trouble in turn two, when the No. 2 spun, would bring out the caution and slow the field again. Back to the lead would go Yates as the green flag waved. Yates would lead the remaining laps to claim the Mod-4 victory. With a second-place finish, Kirby Gobble would claim the Mod-4 Championship. Kirby Gobble was on point for the 35 lap Super Street feature. Gobble would clear the No. 74 of Broadbent for the lead on lap two. Caution on lap four, when the No. 16 spun, due to fluid on the speedway. On the restart, Gobble would rocket back to the lead. Kirby Gobble dominated the remaining laps and drove his No. 3 machine to the victory Green flag in the air for 25 laps of Pure-4 racing. The caution would wave early when the No. 5 spun in turns one and two. B.C. Penley and Tim Presley would battle hard until lap three when Penley cleared the No. 83 in turn two. Trouble for Penley when he spun from the lead in turn four, bringing out the caution. Yates would take over the lead on the restart, but his lead wouldn’t last long when debris would bring out the yellow. Green flag back in the air and the No. 06 of Jackson would take the lead. The caution would wave once again on lap when the No. 22’s window net fell down. Back under green, only a partial lap would be competed when a incident, involving the No. 22 and No. 83, would bring out the yellow flag. Jackson would return to the lead on the restart. Jackson would pull away and claim the victory. With a third place finish, Dan Hall claimed the 2013 Pure-4 Championship. Roby Orr would take the lead on the start and never look back. Leading flag-to-flag for the Pure Street victory. Rusty Ratliff would officially claim the 2013 Pure Street Championship. To an early lead went Rannie Breeding. Breeding would began to pull away. By lap 13, a hard battle for the lead had taken shape between the No. 1, No. 11 and No. 69. Drew Breesing would hold the lead through the madness over Ratliff and Meadows. Ratliff would dive hard to the inside of Breeding in turn four, coming to the white flag. Ratliff would take over the entering turn one. Coming to the checkered flag, Breeding and Ratliff would make contact, sending the Ratliff spinning across the finish line to claim the victory.
