Coffees always better when were together Starbucks have recently brought out an advert that uses emoji icons, available through iOS, to create a series of commercials presenting text conversations between people, with the sound of coffee machines operating in the background. As the texting stops there is the suggestion that the people in the conversations have actually gone to meet up face to face in a Starbucks; showcasing communications full circle and the returning to its less complex, more organic origin.The advert produces a sort of aroma that suggests Starbucks is a place where some of lifes most precious moments happen; couples making up, first dates, exciting family news etc.. The tagline “Sometimes the best way to connect is to get together”, perfectly describes the ads blend of communication, companionship, technology and Starbucks!
