Cold War MIA: Today we honor A2C Fred G. KENDRICK, USAF of Pell City, Alabama, who on this day in 1952 was declared MISSING IN ACTION. An Air Force RB-29 with a crew of eight was shot down by a Soviet fighter north of Hokkaido Island. One of the crew members remains where returned to in 1993, A2C KENDRICK and six other crew members still remain unaccounted for. For 61 years A2C KENDRICK has been waiting to come home to Alabama.
