Collie. Day #14. 325 km. I finally got Supertramp !! :D After 10 days of tracking, the day has come. I knew I was gonna catch up with him right after Dwellingup, so I carried 3 beer cans in my backpack (for 32 km !), so that night we drank a beer together, Supertramp, Don, and me. Aussie beer had never been so good ! The next evening, Supertramps parents came into the hut for his food drop, and they offered me a yummy dinner, with bread-butter-cheese and red wine... I cant thank them enough, and Im looking forward to his next food drop, ha ha ! The hiking is going much better now. 30km days dont scare me anymore. My legs and feet are now really enthusiastic, my blister is getting silent - my shoulders are still struggling though. So far, the scenery is mainly Jarrah tree and Grass tree hilly forests. No Truffala tree yet, but I keep hoping seeing one soon. Sometimes a big hill with a nice lookout, sometimes a river to have a swim. And lots and lots of beautiful wildflowers, and wildlife too ! I start walking everyday at 5:30 AM to enjoy the first lights, the coolness and the early kangaroos. Anyway, all is awesome so far ! :)
