Commissioner Foss calls USFS to the table on grazing allotments. Today at 1:00 the USFS met with Ravalli County Commissioners and granted an extension on the comment period on the Sleeping child grazing allotment. 9,000 fewer cows in the public lands, with the average rancher having 50 head of cows the reduction of 9,000 head puts 180 families out of business. It is time for the Transfer of public land from Forest Service managed to State managed public lands get jobs back to the Bitterroot.
