Community Contact: When one couple in Prince George County wanted to show their appreciation for local law enforcement, they showed it with sweet treats. When officers arrived to work last Friday, they found a small bag with treats and message inside. The Whitebread family wanted to show the appreciation and admiration for what officers do every day. They made 92 bags of “thank you candy” to every police officer and Deputy in Prince George County. With Friday being the first National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, it wasnt about feeding officers but about the message behind the gestures. We want to thank the Whitebreads and the Police explorers as well as every other citizen for the continued support and appreciation for the officers.
