Confession #872: I see so many people (guys, mainly) who post pictures of them posing with the confederate flag, like they are proud. Why are you proud of a flag that evolved from a flag that was called the stainless flag, refering to a pure white child? Why are you proud of a flag was created during disegregation of schools, in protest? Why are you proud of the south that, in the past (and presently), shut out the idea that one day, my black boyfriend and I (white female) could one day get married and have children? Its one thing to be proud of your heritage (which, technically, you ARENT southern... you are probably a European immigrant) but it is another thing eintirely to be supportive of a hate-mongering flag.
