Confessions of a Practicing Atheist The religious - TopicsExpress

Confessions of a Practicing Atheist The religious stigmatization of Atheists by adherents of ethnic, organized religions and clergy stems from ignorance and misconceptions. The Atheist also leads a spiritual way of life which echoes the sentiments of ancient Vedanta culture. Yet being a non believer means maintaining a disconnect with millions of manifest believers. They are labeled in derogatory terms like infidels and heretics by cynical believers who fail to understand their mysterious views in life or death. Atheists celebrate the sanctity of nature, revering the vast, unknowable spirit that runs through the universe and honor all creation in all its aspects, whether male or female. Every man, woman and object is, to an Atheist, a beautiful and unique being they are ever mindful of the actions of cause and effect, by thought or deed, on the creatures of the Earth. The woods and open spaces of the land, home of wild animals and birds are cherished. They delight in the sunshine that they can’t see while playing in the rain. The atheist stresses on his own personal spiritual experience, through his relationship with the natural world that he loves. The atheist does not follow any holy paths or religion but seeks spiritual union with the universe. By attuning with nature he explores his inner self to find reflections of all beings connected with oneness. Atheists respect the rights of every living soul, whether human, animal, plant or rock. They believe that they should unravel the mystery of life face to face, within their own experiences, rather than through the intermediary of religions. The effect of their goodness is “incalculably diffusive”: It exists,it matters, but who can trace it? –Vinay-
