Congratulations to Athens Brian Courtney, who finished as the runner-up in the NHSCA Freshman Nationals. Courtney was in a loaded 106-pound weight class, with over 120 wrestlers. Enroute to the finals, Brian won 17-1 over his New Jersey opponent, 12-2 (New Hampshire), fall in 1:12 (Ohio), 17-2 (Maryland), 5-1 (Pennsylvania), and 2-1 (New York). In the championship match, Brian dropped a tough 4-3 overtime decision to Jose Tapia of New Mexico.
