Consequences of Government Health Care Exchanges If we do not defeat the Health Care Exchanges, there is a real risk that the federal takeover will: •Dramatically increase costs for everyone, and shift additional costs to states. •Collect unprecedented amounts of personal, health and financial data. •Enable significant fines for employers whose employees buy health insurance on an exchange. •Attract the sickest and uninsurable in society, without a sound actuarial model to sustain the costs. •Ultimately require everyone to buy insurance from the national system of exchanges, moving towards a single-payer, government-run system.
