Contemporary philosophy is almost exclusively composed of - TopicsExpress

Contemporary philosophy is almost exclusively composed of nonsense. So many conclusions sit on questionable assumptions and unintuitive notions. Rather than reaching the truth of a particular subject, the central aim of the liberal arts academics of today is to say something utterly shocking and contrasting to traditional understanding, hide behind prestigious and tenured positions, and take part in a circle jerk with colleagues after the smoke has cleared. Its almost as if it is a required ritual of becoming a priest in this new clergy of academics is to open up a book filled with traditional teachings, randomly place ones finger on a particular passage, and go against it in a thesis. You neednt do this with much logical precision, just enough rhetoric and passion to convince domains of society which dont have time to take a close look. From there on, you earn your robes and go on to proselytize against proselytizing, or some other crap like that to poison the youth in exchange for looking intellectual. Sincerely, a wisdom seeking youth forsaken by the self-serving academic elites of post-modern, contemporary society
