Continuing my gripe of the day, but this one belatedly from Thursday, was when my mother & I went to our local McDonalds. We went there as our dinner time was running late due to a contractor coming by late to discuss some remodeling (due to the water damage of a burst pipe a little over a month ago). We walked in, and its not at all busy, yet apparently were invisible as we stand right by the counter and we cant be seen. Finally, a kid who appears to be a manager says hello and another kid asks to take our order. The kid was polite, but he couldnt run the register to save his life. However, I chalked that up to the computer being a pain. I showed the kid an app coupon, and I know he screwed that up. The food finally comes and theyre missing an entire 20 piece chicken nugget meal. Yeah, how do you miss like half of our order?! The kid even repeated the order and we told him what dipping sauce we needed. It turns out that he didnt even ring it in, after confirming that he had (see his computer issue). Yeah, the young manager did make good on it but ugh! On top of that, we had to try getting our drinks - twice - as both tasted like lighter fluid. Then, forgetting the geographic location of the McDonalds there were no napkins, straws, or other items left out on the counters (lest they be stolen). Yeah, remind me to drive 5 more minutes down the road to the other McDonalds when in need!
