A: What story do you want to hear? K: Itsy bitsy spider A: ( singing ) Itsy bitsy spider went up the.... K: No, no Mommy...you have to be like Grandma. You have to talk the story. A: ( speaking ) Itsy bitsy spider.... K: No, no Mommy...you have to change your voice. You have to ask me questions. A: Mom, what does she mean? Me: Kensie picks the subject, I ask her questions about the plot, she decides the story and I use multiple voices to tell the story. Aimee to Kensie: Do you know that Grandma used to tell me stories just like that when I was small like you ? My favorite was about the talking rocks. K: Grandma, can you tell me about the rocks? Me: Why dont we let Mommy tell the talking rocks story? K: Yippee!! Aimee: Once upon a time...... And the circle of life continues.....the stories are handed down to the next generation....and I listened and watched with a smile on my face.
