Corben actually likes holding a blanket near his face as a security thing, so with him I was usually able to at least cover most breast tissue when he nursed. Carter though? Forget it, he fought nursing covers from day one and he would let me and everyone in the vicinity know he was mad about it. And as a brand new mom who was already overwhelmed and struggling to adjust to breastfeeding as it was, I was NOT going to struggle even more to make him angry by trying to be discreet. As this video proves pretty well, its definitely more discreet to just quietly nurse the baby without hassling over a cover. Most kids dont like being covered and will draw more attention to the situation and it really defeats the purpose of being discreet. Men can walk around shirtless and even scratch/adjust their junk in public without causing commotion, and no one bats an eye to see a baby with a bottle, but when a woman uses her nipples for what they were biologically designed for, suddenly all hell breaks loose.
