The origins of the cordless drill date back a bit further then you might anticipate with the earliest example of the concept being displayed at the dawn of humanity over 30,000 years ago where it was nothing but a pivoting rock. The basic purpose of a cordless drill is to create a hole for building or construction purposes. It does this using either a hammering or rotary form of movement that drives the metal tip or edges through the material. Over time although the design and function hasn’t changed much the power has, with batteries becoming more powerful and more affordable and the progress in parts manufacturing, modern day models are super efficient relatives of their former state. A cordless drill has a million and one uses and is popular in all sectors of the construction and tool industries.
