Crazy as it is, I think Dads passing just really hit me this week. No surrealism, just clear reality. Some would call it torture, but I watched Life As A House. Though the plot is very different, I can hear my dad saying, I always thought of myself as a house. I was always what I lived in. It didnt need to be big. It didnt even need to be beautiful. It just needed to be mine. I became what I was meant to be. I built myself a life. I built myself a house. In Dads house, I guarantee you that you would have found one of the nicest human beings a person could meet. Dad never said a bad thing about another human being. Dad accepted you for who you are, end of story. Dad epitomized, Family isnt always blood. Its the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are.
