Crime Stoppers of Lenawee is asking for the public’s help with information about a break-in and theft of medication from The Medicine Shoppe located at 400 N. Main St, Onsted, MI. A delivery driver was making a delivery to The Medicine Shoppe in the morning hours of May 23, 2013 and discovered the rear door to the business to be ajar and damaged. The delivery person then called 911 and waited for law enforcement to arrive to check the building. Deputy’s immediately determined that someone had entered the building and stole items from the pharmacy. Further checking showed that someone had cut the internet and phone wires to the pharmacy and homes in the area. When the pharmacists arrived it was determined that a large amount of prescription medication had been stolen from the pharmacy. Investigators believe this incident is related to three other incidents. The first incident occurred on October 25, 2012 at the Schmidt & Son Pharmacy located at 177 West Brooke Lane, Blissfield, MI. The second incident occurred on November 2, 2013 at the CDS Pharmacy located at 111 Marshall St, Litchfield, MI. And the third incident occurred on April 29, 2013 at the Nash Pharmacy located at 237 E. Chicago St, Jonesville, MI. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT CRIME STOPPERS OF LENAWEE COUNTY.
