Curious to me that we, as a species, are quick to use one tragedy as an excuse to destroy things. Looking at you, rioters and looters post-Rodney King and Ferguson. Looking at you, George Bush Jr. and Donald Rumsfeld. Who knows what the psychological and physical landscape of the world would look like if we knew how to control the rabid animals that we are and channel all that destructive energy into anything else; cleaning up a park or playground, treating a hungry family to a nice dinner, taking blankets, clothes, and shoes were going to throw away anyway to the homeless shelter. But, no. Destroy. Its easier. Feels good. Looks great on paper. Distracts us from ourselves. Were giant children looking for any reason at all to throw a baseball through a window and missiles into the air.
