DADDY UPDATE: first I want to thank all of you for your prayers and your concern about my daddy. he is a tough old dude and by the grace of God he is getting better. The Renal failure was an acute episode and it is slowly resolving itself with diet and medication. He is getting IV antibiotics for the urinary tract infection. He had a head CT and MRI, no evidence of new stroke, there are some chronic degenerative changes and some calcification noted in the brain but NO STROKE. His mental status is clearing up and he is now for the most part alert and oriented. Still has moments of confusion/forgetfulness but that is common for the elderly. He will require intense physical therapy(PT) and occupational therapy (OT), that being the case I am having him transferred to an acute Rehab Center/Nursing Facility later today. He has been in this center before and did well. I anticipate his stay in the Rehab/Nursing Facility to be anywhere from 2-6 weeks. I ask that you all continue to pray for my dad, my mom, she is still undergoing Radiation treatments for the cancer that has re-reared its head.. When it rains it pours but I know that the storm is passing over...the God that I love and serve has not brought me and my family this far to forsake us now...you can just call me Job for a little while..but like Job, though He slay me yet will I trust in Him. and yall know i am going to continue to give Him all of the praise, honor and glory...i am thankful in the good and bad times because i know that I do not fight this battle alone, He is always with me and I know that He got me in this and all things. Praying that yall have a blessed and beautiful day...smooches and hugs!! I will be moving my dad from Providence Holy Cross Medical Center to Casitas Care Center in Granada Hills. He got excellent care at this facility the last time he was there and I am positive he will regain all of his strength and be able to return home in no time at all.
