DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT 09-20-2013 OUR DAILY WALK WITH GOD By Fred Trokie The Greek word for walk is Peripateo (Strongs # G4043) It is used 88 times in the New Testament. Peripateo means to regulate ones life by and to live under. THE WORD OF GOD TELLS US TO WALK. By Faith: 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight By the Spirit: Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. Galatians 5:25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. In Newness of Life: Romans 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. In a Manner that is Worthy: Colossians 1:10 So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. In Love Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. In Good Works: Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. By Instruction: 1 Thessalonians 4:1 Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk ), that you excel still more. In the Light: 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. In His Commandments: 2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
