DAY 11 - ALMOST SLIPPED Surely God is good to Israel, to those - TopicsExpress

DAY 11 - ALMOST SLIPPED Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart! But as for me, my feet came close to stumbling, my steps almost slipped. (Ps 73:1-2 NAS) If you want to live your life in context, a great place to start is to proclaim that God is good. Although, as you can see in the next sentence, the psalmist is already backpedaling. Still, he started out well, and we will see that he ended well. I suppose there are lots of reasons to question that God is good, and whether or not you can hang on to that declaration depends on how well you know Him. If you know Him well, then you can trust Him, regardless of whether or not you understand the circumstances. The psalmist admits that he nearly slipped, but what caused him to stay firm? The answer comes in verse 17: Until I entered the sanctuary of God; then I perceived their end. One of the benefits of living life in context is that you have God’s perspective. So if you want to see life the way the Lord sees life, then come into His Presence and enter the sanctuary of God. Read Psalm 73:1-20
